Why Spirit, Soul, and Body in Redding CA?

Chiropractic Redding CA Spirit Soul and Body

My husband and I have been in practice for 25 years. We believe that total health is a 3 part lifestyle, Spirit Soul and Body in Redding CA. It’s time for you to connect the dots.

I believe that most of us will take our three parts, which we are a spirit, we have a soul and we live in a body, and then usually compartmentalize these. One Body. One Soul. One Spirit.

SPIRIT in Redding CA

In my mind, the spirit is the highest and the most important to address. Ruah means wind, and pneuma in the Greek means wind and breath, and when applied to a person, it becomes a vital sign. It is the spirit that sustains a man through illness (Proverbs 18:14), but the spirit of a troubled person can be crushed (Proverbs 34:18). This dynamic force can be impaired or diminished, as well as restored, rebuilt, and refreshed. It is an overall, utter, and vital dependence on God and His ability to sustain us.

Soul

My definition of the soul is mind, will, and emotions. Our souls need to have their identity anchored and grounded in God’s Word to overcome with strength. When Jesus was crucified, He was crucified at a place called Golgotha, meaning the place of the skull. The Bible is specific about taking every thought captive. It is incomplete to try and heal the body without looking into and addressing what is going on in the soul. So many diseases find their origin in stress and anxiety. This makes addressing our thinking of utmost importance. You have a thought every 1.6 seconds, so it is vital that those thoughts are gifting you with health, wholeness, and life. We need to be reparented by the gentle love of Father God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the sound mind of Jesus Christ.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear (stress and anxiety); but of power (from the Holy Spirit), love (of the Father), and a sound mind (of Jesus the Christ). - 2 Timothy 1:7

Body

When it comes to the body, I think about creation in Genesis 2, where God formed the physical body first, and then He breathed life into it. Our body is created in His image (Genesis 1:27). Our physical body is essential to life. Breath in Hebrew is ruah, and it is vital for life. God blew His spirit into us so that we could be a living, moving being. The body is an essential part of us being ‘a human being’. It becomes an expression of the soul.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. - Genesis 2:7
